Dinesurf vs Glovo: Delivery App or Your Own Ordering?
Glovo has delivered food in Nigeria since 2021, in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan and Port Harcourt, with more than 6,000 businesses on the app and its own riders on the road. It is owned by Delivery Hero, which Uber agreed to buy in 2026. For a restaurant, Glovo brings new customers and delivers to them. In return it takes a commission on every order, pays out twice a month, and keeps the customer. Dinesurf gives you your own ordering, on your own website, with every customer in your Guestbook. Here is how they compare.

Feature-by-Feature Comparison
Who Owns the Customer
Glovo’s Nigerian partner terms let a restaurant use a customer’s name, phone number and address only to fulfil that order, and bar it from promoting its own channels, even a flyer, inside a Glovo order. The customer is Glovo’s to market to. On Dinesurf, every customer who orders, books or visits lands in your Guestbook, and newsletters, birthday offers and win-backs bring them back to you.
Commission, Fees and Prices
Glovo charges an agreed commission plus VAT on every order, a payment fee of up to 1.5%, and a ₦45,000 activation fee for each branch. Its terms also require your Glovo prices to be no higher than your own, or it adds another 10% of your Glovo sales. Dinesurf takes no commission on orders from your own website, so you set your prices and keep the margin.
When You Get Paid
Glovo pays restaurants twice a month, in arrears: sales from the 1st to the 15th are paid after the 5th of the following month, and the rest after the 20th, so money can arrive weeks after the meal. Faster payouts cost extra. Dinesurf takes no commission from orders on your own website and pays out to Nigerian bank accounts.
Delivery and Riders
This is Glovo’s strength: its own riders, live tracking, and a large app audience ordering every day, with paid promotions and ads to stand out. Dinesurf does not run riders: orders from your website go out with your own riders, a logistics partner, or pickup.
More Than Delivery
Glovo is built for delivery and pickup orders. It does not take table bookings or deposits, build your website or run your till. Dinesurf does all of that in one plan, so the guest who ordered on Tuesday and booked a table on Saturday is the same guest in your Guestbook.
Pricing Comparison

Standard plan: ₦68,000 a month, with no commission on orders from your own website, plus the Guestbook, newsletters and automations, loyalty, reservations and deposits, your website and a POS. 30-day free trial.
An agreed commission on every order, plus VAT, and a payment fee of up to 1.5%. A ₦45,000 + VAT activation fee per branch. Paid promotions and ads on top. Payouts twice a month, in arrears. From Glovo’s Nigerian partner terms, as published on 1 October 2026.
At a 25% commission, ₦68,000 is what Glovo would take from ₦272,000 of orders. Every regular you move from the app to your own website keeps that commission, and that customer, in your restaurant.
